On Friday, 23 January 2026, over 300 professionals from government departments, consultants, and contractors gathered at the Olympic House in Causeway Bay for the highly anticipated “Partner’Ship in Action with NEC Ambassadors” forum.
Organised by the Development Bureau, the event brought together professionals to celebrate collaboration, share practical insights and explore the future of NEC implementation in Hong Kong’s public works projects.
The full-day programme featured an agenda including:
- Keynote address by Mr David Leung, Chairman of the Steering Committee on NEC Projects
- Success stories shared by HyD, DSD, EMSD, and CEDD
- Two engaging panel discussions facilitated by Mr Dennis Li, NEC Advisor
- Insightful presentation on “Smart Supervision in Action” by Mr Edmond Liu, Chief Assistant Secretary (Works) of DEVB
- Open floor Q & A and valuable networking opportunities
Participants gained valuable knowledge on real-world NEC project delivery, collaborative working practices, innovative digital tools such as SmartEye, and practical lessons from projects.
The overwhelming turnout of more than 300 attendees from across government, consulting firms, Resident Site Staff (RSS) and contractors demonstrates the growing momentum and strong industry support for NEC collaborative contracting in Hong Kong.
